Human Embryogenesis is a flash interactive. It was a collaboration with Cory Hughart, John Fredieu, Tanya Nikiforova. This was created as an introduction to fetal development, specifically facial, nasal, and palate development for college level students. There are two views of the 3D models, one is just the head, the other is the full fetus, and there are three anomalies represented, a unilateral cleft lip, unilateral oblique cleft, and unilaterial macrostomia. The student can watch the animations, which are set along a timeline that corresponds to the developmental timeline, they can pause, rotate around to get different views of the 3D models, play the animation from multiple views, and turn structure labels, which also animate, on and off. The subject matter was difficult for students to understand as there is a lot happening simultaneously from multiple views, and the rotatable 3d animations allow the student to see all of the action taking place by being able to rotate around the animations. Above there is a video of the program in action, below are several screenshots.
