We had a unique week in February 2026 where Valentine’s Day followed Friday the Thirteenth. So to honor both holidays, I created some spooky cards stylistically similar to tarot cards. These were made in a weekend during my live streams so I let the chat pick the messaging for them and I created imagery to match.
Notes and Illustrations
It took a few tries to get the layout and fonts chosen, the original heart card is below and while I like the composition, I didn’t really like the font pairing and the layout felt unbalanced.
Color Palette
The color palette was meant to evoke classic Valentine’s Day but also has a Victorian flair that I think works with the concept.
