Anything Doughs | Adobe Live. October 2019

Phone Mock up of Anything Doughs on a phone screen in perspective. I had an amazing time on Adobe Live creating a custom donut ordering app in Adobe XD for mobile and tablet with you all! Over the course of two days you, me, and Howard Pinsky all collaborated to make this vision come to life. Thank you all so much! Early sketches of the app.
Day 1, on day one we looked at the problem, the proposed solution, my crazy sketches, a user journey, even more crazy sketches, colors, fonts, and style references. Then we got into creating wireframes for mobile and tablet screens, We used the Google Sheets plugin and repeat grids to quickly fill our menus with donuts. We looked at pulling art from Adobe Illustrator into Adobe XD. User flow map layout.
Day 2, On day two we hit the ground running getting right into prototyping. I showed how I make a circle animate around using the graphing tool in Adobe Illustrator to create my shapes. We explored the confetti plugin for creating an array of sprinkles, and then we animated some sprinkles raining down onto our donuts. Finally, we animated adding filling, and Howard had the great suggestion of adding an object blur to the piping bag to make it extra realistic. Wireframes in Adobe XD with wires for prototyping visible. A visual guide to the technique using pie charts in illustrator to show icing animating with auto-animate in Adobe XD.
