Yoann Turpin reached out to me to work on art for an album cover in December 2023, this time for the next ChipSong Book Volume. He had a general idea of what he wanted, asking for space, with an electric guitar with keyboard keys taking off into space. Along with his thoughts he sent along a preview of the music to get inspired.

Sketches & Color Tests

I really wanted this design to have depth and perspective, and I had a pretty good idea visually based on his notes where I wanted to go. I was a little undecided on the colors though so I did some color tests after sketching out the composition I had in mind. I was feeling like a lot of my album art for Yoann was using the same colors so I wanted to just try some different ideas. I then polled the chat to see which color variation was their favorite. We all agreed the pink guitar was the most striking.
