A friend reached out looking for a brand for his new venture. This was outside of my usual industry, but I think the negative space logo works really well, and I enjoyed creating something out of the box in terms of color and style for the home renovation industry.

Primary Logo
The Logo-mark utilizes the shapes of two hammers to create “S” for Signature Home Renovations within the negative space.

Logo Variations
The Logo can be used as a separate logo-mark, logo-type, lock-up, or a badge. The badge variation of the mark also incorporates a hexagon shape which represents both a house shape or a hex key.

Typography
The typography for Signature Home Renovations emphasizes forms in the logomark through the angular primary typeface Teko and round secondary typeface Work Sans. The “T” in Signature, has been replaced with a nail in the same style of the font. The “T” can be used in conjunction with the logotype or as a secondary logo or design element for the brand.

Color Palette
The primary color for Signature Home Renovations is a dark denim blue. The perfect representation for a blue collar company, the denim reflects a sense of calm, steadfast trustworthiness in the chaos of home renovation. The secondary green and yellow complement the blue, providing high contrast for accessibility, and bright accents for emphasizing calls to action.

Brand Collateral
The logo can also incorporate the secondary colors in the type and hexagon border for the badge. The logo-mark should always be the primary denim blue only, never alternate colors. The t-shirt designs use alternate colors on the badge to have good contrast against a gray shirt.
